Civil Litigation

Acting for individuals who are pursuing legitimate claims for damages is an important part of Steinman Preovolos’ practice.  Neal and Nicholas believe that the right of individuals to be compensated for serious personal injury, property damage, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, and other wrongs, is one of the most important aspects of the legal system, and one in which all trial and appellate counsel should participate.  At any given time, Neal and Nicholas have several retainers to prosecute claims ranging from medical malpractice to municipal negligence.

Neal and Nicholas are vigorous advocates for individuals pursuing legal vindication, and have recently expanded Steinman Preovolos’ practice to include class actions to help individuals on a larger scale.

In July 2006, Steinman Preovolos started legal proceedings to pursue a class action against United Furniture Warehouse and The Brick on behalf of customers who bought furniture with the understanding that they would be able to redeem third party “cashable vouchers” made available to them by the retailers.  The cashable voucher program never materialized and hundreds of people have been left holding worthless vouchers.
